Shootout

I was looking at the Fox Speedweeks TV schedule and it doesn't show the
Shootout, so when checking Jayski, his unofficial chart shows it's at 8
p.m. (EST) on 2/11, on TNT. That's kinda confusing. Better for me,
though - my TNT comes in a whole lot better than my Fox broadcast
stations. Can't hardly wait, ....

It looks like fans will need a guide book soon to help us figure out
which network/station has the race. It seems to be that it will only
be worse in 2007.

Yup, but TNT/NBC = same network, for race broadcast purposes.

I note there is an official announcement that Rusty is "lead analyst"
starting in '07, for ABC/ESPN. I've already told ABC what I think - be
sure you weigh in on the "all Rusty all the time" issue. Not that it
will do any good.

The chart I found at Foxsports shows 2/11 8:30pm ET on TNT.

I saw it at Jayski's - but he says his is "unofficial." There might be
a pre-race show or something.

In '06 NBC, TNT, FOX, & FX will telecast all Cup & Busch races.

IN '07 ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, & FOX will telecast all C&B races.
It is unannounced so far if FX will telecast any races.
IMO, E2 should be checked any time ESPN sez it will telecast.
Therefore, a real race fan should have no more problem finding
the telecast than they have now.

Quality of those telecasts may be a real concern, but that is
to be seen in '07. At least none of the 36 races are PPV, yet.

It didn't stop us back in the good old days (pre-2001) from finding the
race.....

Only complete idiots would not be able to find out when and what
channel the race is on. There's only two networks and their
affiliates now, and three later, that may have it.
