Earnhardt clearly advanced his position by passing below the yellow line also and there was no penalty so....................... |

It appeared to me as though Stewart advanced his position when he ran below the yellow while wrecking Kenseth into the infield. In my view he should have been not only penalized to the end of the longest line for aggressive driving but also a one lap penalty for passing below the yellow. I've seen guys get 2 lap penalties for less than that. That was pre-road |

Junior has been allowed to pass below the yellow for years. And several years ago Junior even admitted that NASCAR allowed him to do so because of his popularity (Junior fans coveniently don't remember the interview). So Junior advancing below the yellow was expected, unless you're a cup newbie or just a plain dumbass. And I didn't see Gordon advance below the yellow but if he did good for him. He can join Junior and Stewart as drivers allowed to cheat by NASCAR. |
