Default Stewart advances below yellow - 02-22-2006 , 07:33 PM

It appeared to me as though Stewart advanced his position when he ran below
the yellow while wrecking Kenseth into the infield. In my view he should have
been not only penalized to the end of the longest line for aggressive driving
but also a one lap penalty for passing below the yellow.

Yes, actually they are. But NASCAR only enforces them on the 'unpopular'
drivers.

it appears that nascar is just trying to be pc and consider their
rules a "living document..."

Earnhardt clearly advanced his position by passing below the yellow line
also and there was no penalty so.......................

Gordon went below the yellow to make a pass to go from 11th to 10th
position. The NBC crew didn't even mention it...other than to say,
"Gordon with the pass for 10th place."

Joonyer did it twice, and they even replayed one of them on teevee. Joonyer
and Gordon have done it several times previously and never been penalized.

Face it, Nascar ain't gonna penalize their poster children for anything they
do on the track.
