I was in the middle of watching the race on Sunday when I remembered that I hadn't sent in my picks for this week. Too much torturing of THT by the horses, trust me!!! Trying to get 2 school horses going well and riding my own have made my latest favorite hobby sleeping!!! Spent the majority of yesterday out in the lovely Nor'Easter hitting the East Coast, shuttling horses out into cold, wet rain to muck out their stalls, and then reversing that procedure to get them in out of the sleet/snow/freezing rain, etc. that was our lovely weather yesterday!!! Took a couple of hours to dry off myself, eat something, watch the race, and then back out into the cold, wet evening to bed the buggers down for the night. As I have said before, I often wonder if I am the torturer or the torturee! ;-) Sandy, THT (who enjoyed another 10 hour day at the Veterinary Hospital where it was warm and dry, after getting up at 4 am to feed, turn-out, and muck out after horses in more driving rain and wind!!! Bed looks really good right now, but I have to finish the federal taxes tonight!!!) |

All regular players get three or four weeks before they are dropped for lack of interest. More importantly..... I am what you may call a city boy but of course I really like horses as man's second best friend. When I go to a place where I know they have a horse or more I stop at the grocery and get carrots or apples to hand feed them. Which do they like better or is better for them? Carrots or apples?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |

He now eats carrots, but turns up his nose at apples. He will NOT eat anything pepperminty, and he actually spits the peppermint candies out if you give him one! But his PERSONAL favorite is sugar cubes!! He turns into a big mush for one of those empty caloried treats!!! Sandy, THT (stock tip: Reason is a trifle spoiled, so you might want to buy stock in sugar companies! ;-)) |
