There isn't enough good movies about racing cars but I watched a great one
tonight called "Love the Beast"

It's a vanity project by Eric Bana about his first car, a 1974 XB Falcon
Coupe, which he and his mates built into a race car (several times)

If you have a passion for that _one_ car I think you will relate to this.

A big portion of the movie focuses on the Targa Tasmania Rally. I didn't
really appreciate what a great event it is before seeing this.

It's showing at the Melbourne Film Festival this week, and they mention some
New Zealand cinemas on the site but you can order it on DVD so assume it
wont be getting a wide release.

I'm a bit of a Bana fan and saw him mention it in an interview about his
latest movie Funny People and have to admit to downloading it by torrent
from mininova but I liked it so much I plan to drop it as a hint for a
fathers day present this year.
