Well, I promised not to comment so I won't.

Appreciate all your responses.
Hey, Paul, go ahead and comment. Actually, I think I may speak for the
other "reasonable" posters here when I say that we find your take on a sport
that we have been involved with for sometime very refreshing. If you happen
to get slammed by one or two folks here, don't worry about it. I sure
don't.

Why is there a limit on the number of tires a team can use in a weekend?
What
business is it of NASCAR's if a team wants to bring their car in every
lap for
new tires?

Don't worry, I am not going to comment. Just curious.

The Cup Series only has a limit on the number of tires that teams can use
during practice unless they have changed it this year. This is not a new
rule.

The Busch and the Truck Series have a limit of the number of tires that
the teams can use during the race-it's a cost saving measure and it
actually is a cost saving measure. If the Cup backed teams with money
were to put new tires on every time they came in, the teams without money
would be forced to in order to compete.

Yeah N$ is soooo concerned about saving NBS teams moolah. Right! Like when
they upped the Bush engines from 12:1 to 15:1so that all the existing teams
could go out and re-tool all of their stuff while the Cuppies could just
pull their engines from the shop and throw roller rockers on em........yeah
that helped someone a bunch....CUP teams that's who.

No, I don't think so. Got my ass kicked once and that is enough. I was told I
didn't know anything about NASCAR and should keep my opinions to myself and he
was right.

Besides, there are a whole lot more ignorant rednecks here than in the
off-season and I am just too tempted to tell them where to stuff it. Surely
don't need an ignorant redneck vs human being war going on in the middle of a
good NASCAR conversation.

I'll just stop by and ask what I don't know and want to know.

The explanation a simple two word motorsports oxymoron: Cost Containment.
Why, were there too many rich teams making green flag pit stops just to change
tires?

there is only one way to find these things out... thats by asking.
Every one of us "knew nothing about nascar" at some point... it's the
intelligent ones who asked and started to know something.

Just don't get caught up in some of the racist, hate posts here. As far as
someone telling you off, ignore it. I, for one, haven't seen any of your
posts that was even close to being out of line. If anything, and I can't
stress it enough, your insight is actually refreshing. Getting flamed every
now and then is just part of the gig here on Usenet. I have flamed very few
(only the truly deserving), but have been flamed far more than most realize.
Some of the goings on over at RASI can be quite entertaining if you have a
thick skin.

Enjoy the racing, and really do try and get out to see some.
