Personally I think they should stay on 1 network 4 the season, and me
personally, I love the way Fox does it.

I agree that it would be nice if all races were on the same network but not on
Fox if they're going to keep that babbling idiot Joy as the announcer. It's
too bad they drag down their coverage by putting that moron in the booth with
two guys who actually know something about racing.

Electrician, who is Joy? What series did she announce? I don't remember a Joy.

I'm not electrician (but my son is one) - Mike Joy is the name.

And, of all the announcers, he probably has more racing experience than
most. He has been around the sport for decades, and all facets, not just
Cup. I find it ironic that the original whine was regarding Mike's
knowledge of racing. I would be safe to say that Mr. Joy has more knowledge
about the sport than anyone who posts here on a regular basis. Same goes
for Berggren, who gets slammed quite a bit, too.

You all can ignore the poster known as Electrician. He's a troll,
and a bad one at that.

You make a good arguement about Mike Joy, but I would still rather listen to
him than Wally Dallenbach

I think the new fans actually resent how much some of the announcers know
about racing, since they seem to pan worst on those who have been around the
longest and know the most. The people here would probably even throw stones
at Chris Economaki if he were to be in the booth today.

Not to sound like a shill, but I'd take Mike's broadcast work over Webber or
Bestwick's any day. Mike even fits in nicely off the track, when he does the
Barrett-Jackson coverage....which I hope to get to myself this coming year.
Just to watch and observe some nice cars, of course, maybe buy some garage
art or something. And enjoy the Arizona weather during January...lol ;-)

Close enough Nancy.

Oh. I am embarrased that after a full season I still don't know their names. I
guess I just use the announcers for the color and to tell me what is going on
and don't pay much attention to who they are.

Thanks for the info Nancy.

Joy may have more experience in announcing racing but he doesn't have more
racing experience than most other announcers. In fact my bet is that he's
never strapped in a race car of any type. It's embarrassing, not to mention
irritating, to have to watch him be constantly corrected by DW and Larry Mac.

Whatever you say numbnuts, I've probably forgotten more races than you've ever
been to. But maybe anyone who doesn't agree with you is a troll.

Never strapped into a race car?
