SEE!!! Told you that you would be jinxing Bristol with Hurricane Bill
by your comment in the picking game about there not being rain this
weekend because the Cup guys were OUT of the "crappy" northern tier of
states!! ;-)
Sandy, THT

I hope you know that I am just kidding about the northern tier states.
Every state is exactly as good as every other state.

I know. I just am rubbing it in that it rains elsewhere on weekends,
even Vegas occasionally, right? ;-)

Las Vegas is the most indoors place you could imagine. It does not matter
if or when it rains other than needing to get your car washed again. I do
not think the NASCAR races have been bothered by rain so far. They have a
truck race coming up soon and I bet it don't rain.

And if it had rained and the race postponed, would you have called for
an end to racing in Tennessee?

Not at all. Tennessee is one of the patron states of NASCAR. North
Carolina, Florida, and Alabama are the other three.

I was just concerned about where 160,000 people would overnight in Bristol?
I guess there would be a lot of people sleeping in their vehicles if that
had happened.

It poured in Vegas one year when JG won the race. Can't remember when
- early 2000s or late 90s, I think.

The climate has changed since then. It does not even rain in Texas any
more.
