Default Very nice win for the Biffster - 10-25-2003 , 02:29 PM

Came back from a penalty, flat tire, running out of gas, 20 seconds back,
and outraced the WC points leader. I say bravo and nice burnout!

Good for Biffle. He is going to get screwed out of the WC ROTY because TV
star Ken and Barbie McMurray is so much more popular. But Biffle wins on
the track in WC and Busch.

Sort of reminds me of last season

exactly how is he being screwed out of ROTY?!?!... and please be specific.
Jamie is ahead of him in every area this season with the exception of that
one fluke of a win that Biffle has:

McMurray: 15th in points, 12 top 10s, 5 top 5s, 18 ROTR awards
Biffle: 18th in points, 6 top 10s, 3 top 5s, 9 ROTR awards

No, Jamie has not won a race yet this year, but he did win one last year in
his six starts, Biffle made one more start than McMurray last year and
didn't get it done. You don't like the fact that McMurray happens to be the
complete package of talent on the track, personable and well liked off the
track. That's the way that it is and that is the way the fans and sponsore
like it ~ lucky for Jamie and too bad for you.

What do you mean fluke win? Greg Biffle won Daytona. It was no fluke. He
passed every other car on the race track. There are no flukes in NASCAR!

The media clones celebs about twenty years apart. Cameron Diaz is Goldie
Hawn and Jamie McMurray is Michael Waltrip, popular but not all that good.

The guy has twice as many top 10's as biffle and will by season's end have
twice as many top 5's. This is Rookie of the YEAR... not rookie of ONE race.
If I recall, Biffle DNQ'd at Vegas. McMurray has more top 10's this season
than Terry Labonte, Burton, Marlin, Mark Martin, and Elliot. That's not bad
in his first full time season. Most important.. have you seen his
girlfriend??

Cfs doesn't like Jamie because he's in a Dodge. Dunno if the same
holds true for his opinion of Ryan Newman.

gas mileage. Biffle won on gas mileage and pit strategy ~ It had nothing to
do with his driving. No one (except possibly you) would try to say that
Biffle had the dominate car in Daytona. There is a strong argument that
could be made (and often is here) that a win in Daytona has more to do with
the set up of the car and pit strategy and far less to do with pure driver
talent. Yes, he won, and I wouldn't try to deny it, but he hadn't come
close to a win before that and he hasn't sniffed one since. In fact, he has
only finished ahead of Jamie *three* times since Daytona. In that same
stretch, Jamie has finished ahead of him *twelve* times with 9 of those
being top 10s.

Biffle's Stats: 31 Starts, 3,329 points (18th - 1,219 behind leader - 195
behind McMurray), 1 win, 3 top 5's, 6 top 10's.
McMurray Stats: 32 Starts, 3,524 (15th - 1,024 behind leader), 0 wins, 5
top 5's, 12 top 10's.

ROY standings:
McMurray - 275
Biffle - 242

Yep, Biff's gettin' screwed...

Sure, even his fiance gets on TV more than Biffle. That is part of the
reason why McMurray will win the ROTY popularity contest. Biffle just wins
races.
