It's certainly done more for Mikey than Kerry Earnhardt's has for him...

Kerry sucks, plain and simple. He has gotten plenty of opportunities
because of his last name. If he had a single shred of talent he'd be a Cup
regular by now.

like Mikey?

At best I'd rate him as "fair". Winning plate races isn't about driver
skill, it's about the car. If it was skill, he's have won at other
tracks, but he hasn't. Even Derrike Cope won at Dover in addition to his
Daytona win, driving for an under-funded team. Mikey's last name got him
a Cup ride, his skill as a shill has kept him there.

so now you are repeating what i said?

Just throwin' in my 2 cents. You said he was a good driver, I just don't
rate him that high, besed on a scale of Excellent-Good-Fair-Poor-Bad.

well on your scale, i'd have to say he's between good and fair...closer to
good...and i'm pretty sure he'd drive circles around me..<G>

The kid could be Big E's twin. I still think if he could act even a
little, they should have let him play his dad in "3".

Exactly. He'd probably be driving for DEI also, like his marginally talented
half-brother.

LOL...that *is* funny, especially the "marginally talented
half-brother"...some days are bad, and a laugh helps...

I rate him as "good". Fair would not have 4 wins (2 D500's), 50 top 5's,
and 150 top 10's.
Actually it's 38 top 5's, and 138 top 10's (through 2005)

taking the top 25 active drivers today, that have won races,
by percentage points he ranks:

25th in poles
25th in wins
24th in top 5's
22nd in top 10's

I don't know that I can rate that as "good".
In any comparison,
last/near last can't be "good".
I did a quick spreadsheet if you want to consider catagories
very good, good, fair and poor

in percentage of top 10's vs. starts, which is his best catagory, in order:

Very good:
Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin,
Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards

Good:
Matt Kenseth, Terry Labonte, Kurt Busch, Dale Jarrett,
Jamie McMurray, Dale Junior

Fair:
Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, Sterling Marlin,
Kyle Busch, Gregg Biffle, Kasey Kahne

Poor:
Jeremy Mayfield, Kyle Petty, Michael Waltrip, Elliott Sadler,
Joe Nemechek, Robby Gordon

and dish liquid made with real lemons?
