Kyle had the position, but Jr refused to back off the gas pedal.

You must not have heard the interview with Kyle. He said he gave Jr a
lane. There "was" a lane. Jr didn't have to back off. Jr didn't back off,
Kyle keeps coming up. Kyle gets punted! I guess Kyle considers the wall a
lane! Watch the replay again.

In the interview, Jr. took total blame for the incident.
