Now that is an interesting question... do the drivers have the ability to deny their car for the museum? Especially in the instance that they have only one car? Not sure about it if it's his only car, but you always hear the |

Would Daytona have impounded his only car? he would of lost the car he has no choice in the matter but Nascar also pays a nice fee to the winner for the car so he would be able to buy 2 or 3 more lol |

And I doubt that was his only car. He's planning on running as much as he can this year (as in years past) and you don't just soup up a short track or intermediate car in order to race it at the plate tracks, they're "special". I imagine he has at least one other car in the stable for the other tracks on the circuit. That said, the winner got 1.5 million, roughly. Seeing as how Kirk is the only person on that team (full time) he wouldn't have to split the winnings with his owner, meaning he could've bought another car or several had he won. You figure he's an NC resident, meaning about 40% in taxes (33.5 Fed/6.5 NC) so I imagine $900,000 would've been plenty to buy another $50k car or two, with money left over for some new engines too, some tires (lol) and maybe even a part-time pit crew. |
