I was wondering how long it would take to get some redneck idiot to
chime in with that one. Thanks for not letting anyone down.
Redneck idiot? I would think most NASCAR idiots would be redneck
idiots. Maybe you're one of those rich yuppie fag New Englander NASCAR
fans. Do you drive a pickup truck to be more blue collar? Probably one
of those fruity Lincoln luxury pickups. Hahahahaha!

what kind of red?
I don't know, but I wonder if there is a Pantone color for it?

IIRC, Petty blue was some sort of mixture of paints that were in the Petty shop.
And also IIRC, Petty blue has a Pantone color number assigned to it.

Damn! Someone beat me to the Petty Blue comment....I'm sure there HAS to be
a code/computer number for the Red. Can you imagine if they tried to mix the
paint every time?!!!

I've seen the street legal Monte Carlo Jr. Package, the red is the same as
the race car!

Actually, all auto paints pretty much are mixed every time. They have a
bunch of bases, primary and main shades, sub shades, additives, flakes, etc.
A paint code on your car tells the painter what to mix up in what amounts.
House paint is a lot the same for that matter, they don't keep 500 different
colors in the back.

Now, does a Cup team do the same? Maybe not, they might mix in bigger
batches due to single color volume.
