Anybody remember when it happened? |

Remember the truck race (Martinsville, I think) where he was roughed up, then he said something like "I'm gonna get that guy", and then he did it? I don't remember if he was penalized during the truck race, but he was banned from the cup race the next day. I guess the moral was if you're gonna get that guy, don't advertise. Anybody remember when it happened? |

Yes, that is the moral. If he had kept his mouth shut and been clever about it, nothing would have been done. If he had kept his mouth shut and been obvious about it, he would have been penalized a stop and go or a lap for rough driving and had to endure a post-race finger wagging. Advertising your intent to break the rules to the detriment of everyone's safety is not something that they will let slide. Similar for who was it, Kurt Bush I think that wanted a caution, said so, and caused it. If he had kept his mout shut, nothing would have been done. Slight culture shift of brashness among this generation of drivers vs the craftiness of years gone by... -Russ. These guys like to brag about going after other drivers... |
