there you go. that is exactly the law's here, first off, one CAN drink
while underage here, just simply cannot purchase it, which is where
the buy in quebec, drink at home comes in. and DDs are always used if
we happen to be out.

not according to www.attractionsCanada.com
"Alcohol Consumption: Legal age is 19"

apparently it's not just illegal to purchase, but to consume alcohol at
your age... I suggest you move to Quebec...

I'm sure you never drank until you were the legal age, huh?
where do you get that from? I don't think I ever said that.. just pointed
out Irony (and a touch of hypocrisy) and it got expanded on... to be
completely on the level I drank *more* before I was of legal age than I have
since... these days I buy a 12 pack of beer a year and usually serve those
to guests more than myself...

*> I don't know

It's not bickering, and yes I'm serious... seriously fucking with you
because of your statements...basically showing that your opinion(
presumeably ) that you shouldn't break the laws if you are gonna be a cop,
was contradicted in the same post by what you do.. just a bit of irony, that
you may not have noticed, because it's not "bad" to you.... that's all...(
now if you want to be objective, you'd realize that even cops are "people"
and that at times they actually break the traffic laws more than those they
are seeking out... because they *can*, the same reason you do what you do....
hell the same reason we all do what we do...)
okay yes there's irony there, but what i meant was, and i think we can
all agree on, is that illegal drug use is worse than underage
drinking, no? that is what i was trying to get at by that post.

and in an ironic twist that relates to what we been talking about,
tonight i had a buddy tell me he got stopped in a RIDE program (don't
know if you have that in the states, if not ill expand later) about a
week ago, anyways the guy, 18 like me, was asked if he'd been
drinking, he hadn't, proved it by blowing 0 on the breathalizer,
officer asks if he had any booze in his truck he said yes back in the
box, officer says "unfortunately son, because you're underage you got
two options, a) pay a $365 fine or b) pour it out, so buddy pours out
the 15 beers or w/e he had, officer expresses his apologies but he had
to, and compliments my buddy on his lifted 2005 dodge 1500 with 35"
tires and true duals out the back and says if it'll make him feel
better, my buddy could "light em up". put on a smoke show for the two
OPP officers and tips his hat and off into the night. so point of
that, i guess some cops do enforce underage laws, in the RIDE programs
though they are usually quite strict about alcohol because that is all
they are searching for is drunk drivers.

anyways i'm gonna go enjoy being 18 now thank you

I'm not hurting his fragile self esteem, you seem more upset by it than he
does...

how's this?
I'm only twice his age and you've told me to lay off of him twice now, don't
make me cry... would you lay off me? seriously?

LOL

no, not really... you don't equate illegal consumption with being illegal
drug use.. but it is... or is it only valid if you don't like the substance
in question? <G>

The bottom line is, most of us that post to this group are in our 30s,
40s, and 50's, so it is nice to have a "newbies" POV when it comes to
NASCAR. If you keep acting like a dickhead, "fish" might leave the
group. Why not save you energy for RickyBobby, gallopingmoron, aka,
aka....whatever. Or even Alan Jones, Janal, as most here call him.

Fish is 100% incorrect..

Drinking and driving accidents are the number
one cause of death among teenagers.

More than 12,000 young Americans are killed each
year in accidents involving young people and alcohol.

Forty thousand Americans are disfigured each year
in accidents involving young people and alcohol.

otoh... marijuana is almost statistically insignificant

We need a law banning young people!
