Default Winter Olympics and Nascar - 02-25-2006 , 10:27 PM

Come on, admit it. Us NASCAR fans also like some of the sports during
the winter olympics. Regardless of whether it's a bobsled going through
the high banked turns at speeds over 80 mph, or short track speed
skaters, whose heats and races can feature as many bang ups and crashes
as any Saturday night short track stock car race, the olympics has got
it.

What's your favorite Winter event?

I haven't watched a single second of the winter Olympics this year. I don't
really care.

I second that. The Winter Olympics is filled with sports that most
people don't pay any attention to outside the Olympics.
It's similar to the Summer Olympics, but at least the summer games hold
some interest for people. High schools have track and field, but I don't
know of anyone that joined their high school or college luge team.

Golf should be an Olympic event.

Actually, my high school had a ski team. I wasn't on it, though.

Mine had a ski team as well, but all they did was hit the slopes for
recreation. They didn't setup a slalom, super g, or big ass jump.

lol!
It will only interest those alreayd interest in golf, but it makes more
sense than most other Olympic sports. Golf is a worldwide, individual
skill-based competition, and there are more golfers in the world than
hammer throwers or pole vaulters.

They already tried Golf in the olympics, twice. It was canceled due to
waning interest.
