Hi there,

93 Altima GXE with 198000kms on it, auto trannie. It takes about 10 minutes
of highway driving before the trannie thinks about kicking it into OD
reduction mode (shifts thru 1st to 4th no problem, just that last kick down
in RPM from 2700 to 2500 while going about 120KM/h).

When it finally decides to kick down, it hunts for it for about 5 -10 seconds.


Is this something to worry about? Checked fluid and it seems fine, though I
have never drained and refilled. Previous owner was my brother, and he never
drained it either. The trannie fluid is clear and does not smell burnt at
all, has a sweet odour to it.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
