Now getting severe mildew odor from A/C when compressor cycles on. We're in New York City area so outside temperature is in the 30's. Heating system is the fully Automatic type so compressor cycles even when heating. This was NOT evident in the summer season with the A/C running. Any thoughts? Is it only when it starts or all the time? "Manny Balfour" <mbalfour (AT) ieee (DOT) org> wrote in message news:mrf7p15vr5qfkjcuim8estcqsjf49f1ods (AT) 4ax (DOT) com... It certainly is most severe when the car is started and the compressor engages the first time. It is also quite evident each time the A/C kicks on. We gave it a shot of Lysol spray into the outside air intake (below the wiper blades). That seems to fix it for a while. Seems like midew forming in the evaporator section of the A/C.
