There's no way to understand just how large the SEMA show was until
you go. But if you walk all of the isles they say, you would have
walked well over 10 miles. Of course that's without stopping every 20
feet to check out another super car, 4x4 or street truck and walk
around them a few times. You look to the rear of the exhibit hall and
it's as if they go to infinity. That's not counting the adjoining APEX
show going on concurrently. Both shows displayed awesome horsepower
and performance. Not to mention all the other items to make your ride
look, sound or be different.
Nissan 350Z's were definitely the car of tuning choice by the majority
of the manufacturers, including the Evolution VIII, Skyline, and Mazda
6. There was a fantastic showing of several hundred cars, trucks,
boats and custom vehicles showcasing true forged creativity from some
of the most talented custom fabricators and engineers. Many new
vehicle lines and designs were featured at the show including Ford's
new Mustang and GT40 celebrating their 100yr anniversary. A vast
showing of all types of cars and trucks; from Volkswagen to Dodge,
Hummer, Mini, Nissan, Toyota, Porsche, BMW and more.
Edge magazine/Lowrider Euro was there with their 2003 project Nissan
Altima in progress sporting a billet grille, wheels, tires, suspension
system, exhaust system and custom air-brushed paint job. Numerous
articles of performance and restyling modifications will be in their
2004 issues.

20", 22", 24" and even 28" Chrome wheels for miles and some wheels
were truly exotic like platinum plated, ostrich skin and light weight
racing wheels were unveiled in the tire wheel section of the show.
Twenty Inch Strong was one of the new lines released by American
Racing. 26 inch rims were spotted on at least one SUV as well as
street slicks and performance tires.
One of the highlights of the show was rollout once the week-long show
ended. Everything from NASCAR cars, dragsters, sport sedans, luxury
cars and tuner cars flooded the parking lot and streets of Las Vegas.
There was even a chance meeting with Jesse James and the crew from
Monster Garage around the Toyo booth. There were driving events held
at the show and the local Las Vegas speedway. Several drivers decided
to blow-off after such a high-octane show and take some of these cars
to the track.
