Default 1997 nissan altima tail lights - 06-22-2005 , 04:35 PM

Both my tail lights are out and after asking around, I was told it was
a faulty fuse so we changed it. Now three days later the tail lights
wouldn’t turn on, so I changed the fuse again (good thing a few come
in a pack!) then i went to check that the lights turn on and they did.
Later on in the afternoon, the lights wouldn’t turn on and the fuse
was blown again!! What could the problem be??

obvious short somewhere, you may want to check the sockets of the lights,
these have a habit of coroding, check wiring too

Assumning the headlights and parking lights are still working, the first
thing I would look for is a short in the taillight circuit. Possibly in
the taillight assembly - bulb socket, wiring harness, water in the
tailights, etc.
