Some disc brakes have a small tab that rubs against the disc when the
disc pad is low making a noise. Is this the case for subject car its
been fifty thousand miles but I done want to change unless necessary.

Not sure but I have 2001 Altima with 62,000 miles and took it to a well
known Brake/Muffler shop and they said I needed brake job. Took it to my
dealer and he said why did I come in because mechanic said I have around
15,000 more miles left. Now that's a twist..
