I am in serious need of some help here I have 94 Nissan Pathfinder and I have
to change my starter, I have the bolts out and the the elec connections off
but when I try to pull the starter forward I can't get enough room to get
past the mounting plate for the engine to the left of the starter
(oreintation under vehicle and head towards the front) what is getting hung
up here is the solinoid and when i try to twist clock wise to get a little
clearance for it the metal plate over the elec connection for the positive
cannon plug is there and it hits the oil pan or the radiator lines, if that
plate wasn't in the way I am sure I would have enough clearance but I don't,
I have wiggled, turned and lifted that sucker the best that I can but I can't
seem to get the positioning just right to get this to come forward.
If any one can give me an idea how to move it past I would be greatful. All i
have ever found on this subject is "-twist the starter and remove it straight
out the front" or something similar and I can't figure it out I have been on
this for two days now and I just can't see what to do. |
