97 Nissan pickup EX - 2.4L - 5 speed - 4x4 - 49,000 miles I went to put on the AC today and pressed the AC button then turned on the fan. Nothing happened. The fans worked in all speeds. I noticed that the blue light on the AC button was not lit up as it usually is when the AC is turned on. I checked the fuse under the dash. 10 AMP that works both the AC and radio. The radio was working so that was OK. I pulled it out anyway and checked it. I also checked the AC relay under the hood. I switched it with the clutch relay and the AC still did not work. The fan belt is turning the AC pulley, but the AC clutch is not turning. Unless there is something else I might have missed, my last hope is the AC button itself. Any other suggestions? You need to measure the refrigerant pressure and check the pressure |

Whoda thought! The lighter fuse was it! I was going to make an appointment with my auto service this morning to have it checked and repaired. Thank you Randy, you saved me some bucks. You just *knew* you ought to have given up smoking... (: |
