I've posted a few times. Any way. Does anybody knnow how i can get more horse
power out of my 2.4 4x4 hardbody? My friend have justa 2wd and it seems faster
I guess it's geared different. I put a k and n on mine that didn't do anything.
Thought about putting the racing chip but I don't want to ruin the trans and
rear end. Is there a turbo charger I can buy? I know I'llhave to do some mod
work to the truck still but I don't know what else to do besides try and get a
3.0. I can'y pas anybody on the highway or road. It sucks and i love my truck.

Remember its built for torques not neccessarily speed so your right about
the gearing.. the cheapest mods to start with.. is the pod filter (which you
have already done) then extractors and a 2.5" or 3" exhaust.. more flow=more
power. Theres alot more you can do to an NA engine to pull more power.. be
alot more trouble changing the aspiration to turbo.

To get all that heavy 4WD machinery moving forward AND spinning, you have
to put in all that additional energy every time you start. To keep it
spinning, you have to overcome the additional bearing & oil friction. To
keep it moving forward, must overcome extra wind resistance from the higher
stance above & extra hardware underneath. With the same engine, your truck
will be slower than a 2WD with the same gearing.

You truck is well spec'd for off road use, a 4 is better for that, don't
need a V6 for that, right? Be happy!
