I have a 1998 S Reg Nissan Primera, it has the factory stereo in it but I
want to replace with a Sony CDX-MP40 that I had in my previous car.
I have taken out the old stereo and installed the new one using a
converter for the cables and it powers up and seems to work fine however
no sound comes out of the speakers.

Looking around I think this may be caused by the factory Amplifier in the
car and I need to bypass this.
So does anyone know if this is correct and what I need to do, and does
anyone know where it is located and is bypassing it as simple as cutting
the wires either side of it and joing them.
