From what I have seen, the 2005 had some very good improvements from the 2004 and below. I would think you are best off going for the 2005. |
It is possible to sometimes find a very good deal for a used 2006.
There are people who lease or buy these types of vehicles, and then
find that they don't like them.
Overall, in my personal view, I found the X-Terra to be very good.

I am considering buying an xterra. Looking at the general prices on these I will be looking at 2003-2005. Also will have to part with my 2001 Maxima. As I have always valued this groups opinions, could you possibly advise me on which if any of these is a better choice than the others? Also am looking for trim level choices for this vehicle,ie;SE,LE etc. Thank you for any help you may offer. Tony C. |

and get poor fuel economy IMO. It's reliable enough though. It depends
on what's important to you. A 3.5L Pathfinder would be a better choice,
but again they are hungry at the pump.
