Default Torque specs for cross member bolts - 1995 Nissan truck - 09-18-2009 , 08:51 PM

I'm finishing up a timing chain job on a 1995 Nissan truck. So far so
good....

I had to drop the cross member to get the oil pan off. The cross member has
two big bolts on each side of it. What are the torque specs for those bolts?
I can't find this anywhere.

Any thoughts on this? I torqued them to 30 ft-lbs. Wasn't sure how much they
could take without stressing/breaking the bolts.

the only help i can offer, is from a haynes manual on a sentra for
that year, the
metric thread sizes and ft-lbs are:
M6 6 to 9 ft-lbs
M8 14 to 21
M10 28 to 40
M12 50 to 71
M14 80 to 140 ft-lbs
