Default 1999 maxima - 04-08-2007 , 08:12 PM






'99 Maxima SE 3.0 Car fuel pump and sensors changed...coil
changed...plugs
changed...will crank but will not start...electricity not getting to
injectors...any suggestions on what the problem can be...four
mechanics...fail to diagnosis probem... check power at injector
harness with key on notice power was droping.Also try when cranking
got 12volts but voltage still droping while craking.Please help.

The 99 Maxima was the first maxima to come with the more sophisticated
alarm system, uniquely identified by the chipped key system. If you
start the car with a copy of that key, but not the chip, the alarm
will kill the feul pump and/or the injectors.

Try using the orignal chipped key. If there isnt any, and your maxima
has the factory alarm, then you need to go the dealer, not your
mechanic. Your car is probably fine and the alarm is doing exactly
what it's supposed to.
