Hi, 2003 Maxima, 70k miles. Wife calls me on her cell phone to say car has died at side of the road. I arrive at the scene and attempt to start car. Hear starter solenoid clicking, battery is dead. Attach jumper cable from other car and Maxima starts. Run it for a few minutes then attempt to frive home. Car dies after a few minutes. Go and get a new battery and install. Old battery is at least 3 years old, Honda brand. Car starts and all is well. Run the card myself for 3 days, then give to wife saying it is fixed. Later that day I get a call to say car has died, battery is flat. There is no check engine light. I assume the alternator is faulty. Any input appreciated. Al Moodie. |
