Default 87 Maxima - Cab blower stopped. - 10-28-2008 , 07:10 PM

My 87 'manual' A/C suddenly won't cool, inside cab blower is silent (not
normal), and I've checked the 15AMP and 10AMP fuses per my shop manual.
Even removed and reseated the A/C relay which did not help at all.

Are their any obvious other things I should check before I give up and
let NISSAN agency or A/C local shop try to repair?

Not sure if I am having newsgroup reader troubles? The last post I see
to this group was on 10/19/08.
Subject: 2004-2006 Maxima Fog Lights.

Have there been later postings? Where can I see the archive of previous
messages independently of my ISP news service?

Many thanks, Dave_S

You can view this group on Google Groups ("Advanced Group Search"
works well for older posts). However, apart from a post today
(10/30), and your post, the last post to this NG was indeed on 10/19,
according to my newsreader and Google Groups. This is not a
high-traffic newsgroup....

The maxima.org forums are also a good resource.

Check the both blower switch and the blower motor. The blower switch
also has resistor block to control the speed settings, sometime these
burn out, but usually affect one speed. For the blower motor you may
be able to jump 12v test leads to confirm that is working.
