Default 87 Maxima - fuse box(es)-error-fixed - 10-17-2008 , 03:11 PM

Hello,

I am back with fuse box and relay box problems again.

Sure can use your help!

My manual Air Conditioner and loud inside blower just stopped working.
Now I must check the fuses and reseat the A/C relays.

Two problems prevent me from doing either.

One,I cannot remove the white plastic frame that is covering the fuses.
Edge gave me instructions but I still cannot get my fingers to release
that frame.

Second, I cannot remove the cover from the box full of relays near the
radiator. I had that cover off before but now it won't release. Do not
see any screws. How is cover released?

Thanks for your help.

hey Dave_s
my first recommendation would be
for you to check out your manual,
if you don't have one, you might
be able to get one on ebay,
and if that is not possible then
you can always go and check out
http://www.nissanforums.com
you'll find the answer you need there
for sure and in more detail
hopefully, that's helpful.
Let me know how it goes and
if you were able to solve your
problem. thanks.

Default 87 Maxima - Glove Box-Blower Motor -Resistor Module - 11-09-2008 , 09:57 AM

My 87 manual type A/C is not cooling or no heating because the blower
in the cab is not running at any speed. Fuses check OK. Relays have been
reseated. Radiator fans are both rotating. My Service Manual shows the
Blower Motor, Fan Switch or Resistor Module could be bad. I am trying to
remove the Glove Box to get access to the Resistor Module and Blower motor.

All Glove Box screws have been removed. The box is free to move around
in all directions but it cannot be removed. It is attached by either
metal clips or PAWL per my Shop Manual or something else. I need help
with releasing and removing that box.

I am ready to measure the Resistor Module and test the Blower Motor but
cannot do until Glove Box is removed.

Really need help. Thanks, Dave_s
