Have you had someone stand outside with the hood open and see if they can hear where this noise is coming from when you turn off the car. It could well be a failed motor mount,,,not a good thing to be driving around with. |

Ay, chihuahua! Now I AM concerned! Will carry out experiment as you suggest, with hood open. Note, however, that noise seems to be coming from the BACK of the car. |

BINGO!!!! I had a knowledgeable friend give a listen today, and he immediately homed in on the power antenna. Seems it is stuck, so can't retract and groans. Whew! THAT is a load off my mind!!! Thanks to you and all who chimed in on this. Aspasia |
