I have an ABS light on my 2001 Max SE and my mechanic pulled a code 25 from it,
when to him indicated that it was the front left wheel sensor. the thing is
(from what he told me) that the sensor is hard wired into a box (theres no clip
to detach the sensor from the wires) he said he'd have to take out the sensor
and disconnect the wires that connect to the main ABS box and then pull out the
long wire, just to test the sensor. I'm goign away for vacation so I'm leaving
him the car for the week so ti can get done. he said he woudl want to test the
voltage of the sensor to make sure the sensor is bad before he gets a new one
and puts it in. now I'm wondering, any idea how much this sensor will cost
approx.? he was telling me he has to take out some of the duct work in the
engine to get to the ABS box, and then resnake the wires up. jsut wanted to
make sure this was true. and looking at an approx. cost of an ABs sensor,
