Default Dunlop Tire Question - 06-20-2006 , 04:17 PM

Anyone have a report on the Dunlop Tire? I am in the need of
tires for my wife's 2000 Max. We live in Northern Wi. and
will be driving in rain and snow. Thanks

I'm not familiar with that series. Try www.tirerack.com and see if
they have it listed with opinions/ratings, etc.

That is, IMHO, the best tire-research siteout there. You'll also be
able to find other tires that are available for your make/year/model
and driving conditions (all-season it would seem).

Cheers,
Nirav

I'm not familar with the Dunlop tires, but I replaced the crappy Bridgestone Potenza's
on my 2002 SE with Michelin Pilot Sports AS before last winter in Wisconsin and have
been very happy with them. They are expensive at $200 each, but they made a huge
difference in bad weather performance. You might also want to check out Cooper tires
to find something cheaper.

I love the Yokohama AVS dB S2 tires.
http://www.yokohamatire.com/TireIntr...ireID=8&ID=uhp

They are qualified as ultrahigh performance tires but bought them for
about $80 each. They are quiet, great traction, cornering and braking,
both in the rain and dry pavement. No experience with them in the snow
(no snow in FL).

Compared to the Michelin MXV4+ that I had before (at $160 each), the
Yokos are way way better, specially on wet pavement.

Good luck
