For the past couple of months my battery and brake lights have been flickering. I assumed it was a short somewhere, but now I'm not sure. Yesterday, my car wouldn't start. I got a jump, but then the engine started hesitating, and then stalled. AAA came out, jumped it again, and I was going down the road to a tire/battery place, when it stalled again. After being towed there, I bought a new battery and it seems to be running fine now. So, if it is a short causing the lights to flicker, is there someplace in the wiring where this typically happens on a 95 maxima? Is it more likely to be the alternator? I can't find any correlation between when the light comes on and off-though they are mostly on now. I would think that if it were the alternator, it would come on and off as I accelerate and brake. Also, my car stalled out a few times in the last few months, usually sitting at a light. Could this have something to do with it? Thanks! Matt Wallenstein |
