2004 Grand Prix Panic Button

On a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, is there a way to disable the panic
button on the key fob? Or at least re-program it so it has to be held
a few seconds to activate.

If you have to hold it for a few seconds then its not a very good panic
button.

You could always take your remote apart, and put a piece of paper between
the rubber moulding of all the buttons and the PCB.
