Default 68 FIREBIRD,,,,,,NEED HELP So. Cal.... - 03-24-2007 , 10:07 PM






I live in Sun City and I was sick for 3 yrs. I am now
ready to start it But I only need to install starter motor, carb, and
new electronic distibutor,,,,,My problem is I dont remember where the
little wires go from the starter selinoid,,,and how to install distib.
PLEASE don't laugh ,,, I built engines in my day but I am 73,,,,
If anyone is near me I would pay 4 the help 951-679-8549
((( 68 firebird 350 ))) I rebuilt the motor CAM & all
Hope to get 400hp out of it

Hope to get 400hp out of it
If I remember correctly only two wires are required for starter operation.
The large battery cable and the smaller "switch" wire which goes to the
outside solenoid terminal. Depending on the car there may be a ten gauge
wire on the battery post to supply power to the rest of the car. That wire
came directly from the battery on later model ('70 and up?) B bodies. It's
been a very long time and my memory is a bit (okay, a LOT) fuzzy on that
point.

Afriend at Treasured Pets in Morino Valley
Put me on his DAD,,,He came out with the real book
and he is going to put it together 4 me....
Us old guys loose some of da mem...Need to upgrage to 512
only got 64 tee heeeee ....
