Default 97 Pontiac Sunfire Electrical Problem?? - 11-18-2006 , 02:50 PM

Started out with the ABS & Parking Break Indicator Light Staying on.
Then all Indicators lights started lighting up like a Christmas Tree!
Power locks seem to fail here and there, DRL flicker on and off,
Temperature gage and RPM Gage flicker up and down.
Checked all fuses, connections to and from battery and ABS
module....all seems fine. Suspecting the alternator but the engine runs
fine, doesn't stall out and starts without a problem.
What a mess........any advise??

Thanks

Go with what Geoff said. Get the alternator tested, and clean up the
grounds. There was a ground connection under the plastic floor piece (under
the driver's side door) on my '96 Bonneville that was all corroded. It
caused havoc with the electronics of the car. I cleaned it up and the car
went back to normal.
