I don't know, all i know is my did a thump and it was from the rear. Take it to mida or somewhere that has a free brake inspection and have them look at it. We tried calipers to see if that was it - nope. New brake hoses. The pads and rotors (or whatever they are) are only a year and a half old. Dad said it might be the master cylinder... Any ideas? I would think you would have found this when you did the calipers, but, it sounds like a groove in the caliper mounting bracket. GW |

Were there shims with your brake pads? If these weren't installed, you'll get a noise as there will be "slap" between the caliper and pads when no brake pressure is applied. Been there and dealt with that before on my wife's car. "Geoff Welsh" <geoffdubya (AT) some (DOT) rr.com> wrote in message news:vJxtd.7175$nP1.4203 (AT) twister (DOT) socal.rr.com... Now Dad's saying that the back brakes (as said earlier) could be the cause, and I didn't even mention anything about this question to him yet...
