Default Rev counter - '81 SC - 01-26-2007 , 04:21 AM

My rev counter does not register anything? It was working fine and now does
nothing. I've checked the connections at the back for "looseness" but
nothing seems wrong.

Is the feed from the electronic ignition a steady voltage or pulsed?

Are there anyu "common" faults to look for?

It's a series of pulses.

I think the most common fault is mechanical binding of the needle
assembly inside the tach itself. I'm not sure where on the planet you
are, but North Hollywood Speedometer rebuilds them and you can find them
on the web at http://www.nhspeedometer.com/
