Back in business + best way to route power cable in a 9000CC

Hi,

i finally had some time at home to set up my new comp and so far its runnign great!
i come back with one question, what would be the best way to route a power cable to the trunk?
it is going to be a pretty thick cable as i want to install a 400W sine wave inverter and a 100W(real watts) amp in there. i am not sure if i will be able to fit it in the channel that goes under the doorstep covers and how to get it into the engine compartment, also what is the best point to connect it to the circuit, right at the battery terminals or where? should i run the negative wire to the front too or is it okay to hook it up somewhere on the chassis?

Whatever you use, make sure you get a fuse or fusible link in the
line from the battery. There have been a rash of car fires lately
from people who run large gauge wires direct from the battery to
other areas of the car. They don't fuse it at the battery, it
shorts, and all of a sudden 400 amps is going direct to ground.

You can guess what happens from there.

that would be the first genuine saab welder then, i guess

damn i must have slipped into too many peoples killfiles until now.
oh well more time to work on my kreidler then.
