fails you will not be able to get a second made to work with your car,
so a big repair to replace the computer module and the 2 keys.
So go get a second key made (suck it up and pay SAAB) and rotate the key
usage so you will know if one goes tits up.

Can you clarify? If the key opens the lock, why doesn't it trigger the
central locking?
Also, I still think I have an electrical issue, since the good key has
been working, but didn't the first few uses on this cold, rainy German
morning. It started working again after the car was warmed up. Can
anyone tell me where the brain is? There isn't any reference to
locking on the fuse panel. What's it linked with?
I could possibly salvage all the locks from The '92 I just junked
(central locking worked flawlessly), but that seems like a lot of
work.
