Default How to kill your SAAB - 11-26-2006 , 06:33 PM

I'd like some of the seasoned owners of SAABs to list some sure-fire ways to
destroy your car. Probably neglect is the biggest killer, but I'd like to
offer another -the other person (wife, companion, daughter) who drives your
car. I wonder how many cars loose half their life because of the awful
driving habits that some people have. If you baby your car but your
significant other shifts it into park at 30 mph that cancels out whatever
good you have done. I well remember the rampant destruction of vehicles in
the Army because one vehicle couldn't survive 5 or 6 different drivers in a
month. One reason the US Army went to all automatics is that too many
people couldn't drive a manual..or worse thought they could. The cost in
clutch replacement must have been equal to the GNP of Belgium. ..Anyway..I
think that complex automobiles like SAAB, BMW, and Mercedes die quicker
deaths when driven by more drivers..

Well passed down the 04 conv to the missus two months ago 8k on the clock
and not a mark - Monday just gone and it's minus a wing mirror due to her
getting it out the garage.

Bloody nightmare
