This, bar the paying is my new daily toy.

I like that colour too. You don't see many of them.

I always had a superstitious hatred of green cars.
But I just couldn't resist it.

Just hope I don't run over a black cat on the way home.

Same colour as my 9k cse, eucalyptus green. Also found on 900 from that
year, but not used by saab at later MY AFAIK. An eucalyptus is inevitably
a K or an L.

Looks nice. For a Fiat.
I doubt there will be many Fiats alive from that vintage. My 1993 CSE still
looks and drive like new.

Indeed it is.
I have a superstition about green cars, but something drew me to this
one, not just the cheap price.

Need to sort out that scabby wheel arch so it doesn't disappear in a
pile of rust, but the rest seems solid.

It's a green colour with a zest to it. Odd that saab dropped the colour,
but then they change every MY. Only boring germanic silver remains a stable
diet.

If it is bad, you should consider one of those mobile fixers who repair
dents and scratches. I had one to repaint a panel which had an old bad
repair job from previous owner (pre-1997!). The fixer was really good and
the difficult colour was spot on. It was mixed by computer to the exact
saab spec, he told me. E-mail me if interested and i will return the link.

I think it needs a body shop, arch trim off, new metal (one small hole
and lots of scabby rust), and repainting.
For now I'm going to Jenolite it to stop it going any further until I
find out if an Aero this cheap will have any scary surprises.

I thought much of the car was galvanised ? It's rare to see much rust on a
Saab IME aside from the A pillars which I reckon in both my examples were
compromised by careless windscreen replacement.

I would be fearful of an Aero of that age. How has it been driven?
The gearbox is a week point for all that torque. Traction control is
another problem. A bit more costly in fuel and insurance. But of course
it has the glamour of the Aero tag and power corrupts :-) But probably
not much different in daily driving than my LPT.

NG900s are the exception, it'd seem - since they all seem to have very
scabby (typical Cavalier) rear arches.
