Base SL or SL1 will yeild an average of 40mpg on the highway and 25-30 in the city, ours did. DOHC expect 25-35 mpg. -- marx404 |

I had a 99 SL, SOHC, stick shift and usually got around 35 city and 40mpg on the hwy. Without A/C on I would get near 42 mpg on hwy. I have a 97SLI, auto and get around 31 city and 39-40 hwy depending on A/C being on or off. That's awesome. A new hybrid can't do much better than that. Just imagine what an SL hybrid could do! |

i have a 97 sl, standard xmission. it has 136500 km. i get 520 km with 40 liters ( more or less full tank; 75% hwy + 25% city) . i don't know equvalents to usa imperial, so i'll leave to you the fun of working the equivalnet to mpg. good luck. danielr.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - sorry, forgot to add, it's a sohc. |
