Default Got my Impreza today! - 03-15-2007 , 10:56 PM

I am soooo impressed with this car. I'm totally loving the handling,
power, etc. What a change from my old domestic car. Night and day. I
even drove a WRX Sti to see what that was like. Lets just say I am now
addicted to the turbo spooling up sound and the whooosh through
corners at 1G. But I dont' need an STi, or WRX for that matter. I'm
just happy to have switched to a quality car that is extremely fun to
drive. There are not very many of my cars on the road. I catch people
watching me as I drive by.

I enjoy putting abit of gas down for a second, startling the slow
Civic driver to the left of me, left wondering "What the hell was
that?

I gotta admit, that boxer engine is so damn sweet!!!

as is the engine and the shifter on that civic.
Nowhere nearly as powerful of course but sweet nevertheless.

Anyhow, happy blasting. Is there much turbo lag left on 07 wrx?

A tiny bit of turbo lag. Seriously, you could run the WRX Sti up to
155 MPH quite easily. Even the car salesman said "This car should be
illegal, it's too fast". I've driven a regular Civic with a manual
transmission. It has nothing compared to the Impreza. The Civic seems
wimpy and uninspired. The Si - now that may be a different story when
you're up in the high rev's of V-Tec land. There are so many Hondas,
Mazdas, GM's, Toyotas, etc on the road where I live. There are
absolutely almost no Subaru cars here. I have not even encountered one
single Impreza on the road yet. And I live in winter storm central
(Nova scotia, Canada). We are getting a good snow storm tonight, and
I'm not even the slightest bit concerned. I know with slow, safe
driving I can get home, with the all wheel drive.
