Hey chaps,

One of my friends recently dragged me into rally racing, where I saw the
Subaru Impreza WRX STi perform magnificently last season. Being out in the
market for a new car, I am really interested in acquiring one of these but I
have heard many people complain about braking and handling overall. I am
sure this is more personal than anything and just wanted some input. To
those outhere who already have one of these wonderful machines. I ENVY YOU!!

That's what I had in mind. I'll probably also schedule a test drive to
witness
this personally. If I were to get one though, are there any upgrades or
add-ons
that you suggest? I heard that rear brakes were downgraded from the Japanese

Are you sure they're talking about the STi and not the "plain" WRX. The WRX
braking system is a bit on the sensitive side and is really one of it's
biggest weaknesses. Also the WRX suspension system didn't impress me as
much as I would have thought it would in stock form, but add a set of sway
bars and things come in line quite nicely. The 2 STi's that I have had the
chance to ride in handled very well and were among the faster cars on the
track that day. I would not hesitate to buy one.

I'm not buying a Forester even if they put a 500 ft.lb at 0 rpm engine in
