Default Low oil p. 89 GL 1.8 - 10-19-2009 , 04:48 PM

Replaced the gasket around the oil pump, and the horrible clattering noise
went away.

The oil pressure was GREAT until this morning. I removed the dipstick to
check the level, the level was fine, but after replacing the dipstick the
level on the guage dropped and got lower throughout the day...

Car's running great, except for that. Oh, it was about 10 degrees warmer
today than it has been, ~64 F.

What wt oil are you running? Oil sort of turns to grease at really
cold temperatures. Also been told a cheap oil filter, think Fram, can
produce a drop in oil pressure.

Thirty year old car. I would guess the dipstick is worn out and he
needs a new one

Ooops my math is bad.

Reminded today of old Chevy I kept around for the kids. In a 6 month
period it only had 60 miles on it. Figured insurance was costing
$10/mile. Got rid of it.
