I just got a 1995 impreza 2.2L. I like it a great deal, but I am hearing conflicting stories from the original owner and others about if there should be a fuse in this block and what it does. the fuse holder is located under the hood and on the passenger side. some say it stands for four wheel drive and other say it stands for front wheel drive only. there is talk about gas savings with it in and other ideas. any help would be great. thanks RonC |

"final-drive" (the back end and equivalent of a transfer case in Subaru's tranny) is not entirely disconnected in FWD mode from the back wheels, and since the FWD mode is electrically operated, I doubt it influences a non-powered car anyway. ~Brian "Josh Assing" <XjoshX (AT) jAssing (DOT) com> wrote in message news:7de643hq7bhu21du7s03te3chpqh0bgpkb (AT) 4ax (DOT) com...
