Check the manual in your glovebox.

Many manual transmissions don't have dipsticks, the level is checked
though a hole, similar to a differential. Not all manual transmissions
CAN have the fluid level checked.

On the right side of the engine compartment, down behind the right
side cylinder head, look for yellow plastic pull handle on the
dipstick, may be obscured by wiring and connectors

Found it! Thanks! Filled up all the way to the F mark.
The dipstick is buried deep in the recess under some kind of a box.
What's in that box?

It's called an 'engine'.

Ha ha very funny. Except the dipstick is further back under the
plastic
black box not all that dissimilar from the one that houses an air
filter.
It is a part of the engine I suppose, but it has a name of
its own, doesn't it?
